Hey folks, I am about to purchase my next golf (I had a MK5 GTI a while back, loved it, but since had the likes of a Leon FR, A3 Black edition) now returning back with a GTD.
It has most kit I need, but I don't think it has DAB, and I definitely know it does not have Bluetooth, so regarding retro-fits, would this be the case;
1) To retrofit bluetooth, would I just need this;
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OEM-9W7-Bluetooth-for-VW-RNS510-RNS315-RCD510-Jetta-Golf-Passat-CC-Eos-Scirocco-/171197272044?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AGolf%7CPlat_Gen%3AMK+VI&hash=item27dc270fecAnd then run the wiring to the rear of Head Unit / mic in the headlining, enable BT in VCDS and off we go? Is that all I need? Not overly fussed on music streaming, just bog standard Bluetooth would do.
2 ) For DAB, its a 2009 model, and has Reverse camera and MDI, with an RCD-510, I believe I read somewhere it cannot have DAB if has the reverse camera? But later models could for some bizarre reason?
Anyhow, if anyone could shed some light on that it would be great and much appreciated, I know if the RCD-510 does not have a DAB tuner I can swap that out with a later one that does quite easily, but it's more the aerial side of things, I definitely do not want a windscreen mounted one, would prefer as OEM as possible.
I suppose another option could be to buy the RNS-310 navi unit which has bluetooth built in, then just run the microphone up? But guess that would not work with the MFSW...
Hope to hear some help!
