My lights react faster than I could myself but I have the dynamic light assist.

I stumbled upon the option to change the light intensity to change from high to low beam. I can't remember if it was in the central electrics or front camera. The unit was lux. I'll check it tomorrow.

This looks interesting :) When you say camera, do you mean the High Beam Assist module [20]?

I mean the camera above the mirror. Ill check this evening.

By gosh you're right! I wonder how long that's been sitting there..seems odd that they've created a new name for it, I thought it was DLA (dynamic light assist)?? Dynamic high beam assist is certainly sounding different to plain old high beam assist. Why would it only come with lane assist I wonder? Is there anything else apart from the shutters in the headlamp units that would be needing changed for lane assist?

As long as it's not the new factory standard, I'm happy!

You must have the different camera for lane assist? I don't have what you're showing..only the [20] high beam assist I mentioned..

This is what the a5 camera looks like:

I don't have module 20. The same camera does DLA and lane assist. You can spec lane and regular high beam assist in Ireland. Lane and dynamic light assist costs a bit more, probably to cover the headlights with extra shutters.

It wouldn't be the first time vw uk renamed an option. The renamed comfort as advanced bluetooth. And to be fair dynamic high beam assist is a better description of it.

The setting is in the A5 camera module. Maybe something similar is in your high beam assist module.

Will check the high beam assist module and see , but fairly sure there's not that much in there.

Had a quick look and looks like the UK can't spec Lane Assist at all, it's not an option on the configurator and not an option when speccing the car up on various broker sites (which are usually quite accurate).
