Rad Fan

The rad fan on my 89 16v has suddenly become the noisiest in the UK, my elderly neighbours love it 

I have a spare in my garage from an 89 8v, will it fit and if so how big a job plz?

Straight swap!  4 bolts hold the rad shroud on, and 3 bolts hold the fan to the shroud.  Remove all the bolts, swap fans, do em all up again 

Only thing you have to watch out for is if both fans are the same type, some dubs came with only a single speed fan and others had a 2 speed fan. Way you tell is to look at the fan plug wires, if there are 3 its a 2 speed jobber, if only 2 its a single speed.

Spray a bit of WD40 into it, might quiet it down.  Unless you enjoy annoying your neighbours

Will it take WD then? Didnt know whether it was a sealed bearing?
