Climate Control - Cold
« on: 18 June 2013, 09:18 »
Hi all,

I have a problem with my car heater, if the car is set to HI on the climate it blows out hot air, any other setting 27 degrees etc, I get cold air

Anyone know what this could be ? Also anyone in Heathrow area with Vag Com ?

Thanks

Thermostat?

Get it scanned, check out the diagnostics section for locations, that way you should get a good first picture of what is wrong, if anything.

Ahhh, well at least you know the issue. I know that the heating matrix and all the gubbins for the climate control is quite complex. Perhaps get a quote from a garage...

Scanned it with vag com (ebay version) fault says Anti Flow Flap Positioning Motor (71) 37-00 Faulty

So is this a hard / expensive job ? Is the motor behind the glove box ?

Thanks

clear the fault and then with vagcom, i think you go in to climate control module, basic settings, up to 01 and let it run, youll hear the flaps open/close and when the numbers stop its done. this should reset the flaps. hope this helps.

Just tried this but when I try to go into basic settings it says only registered activated users can use this

Yea...the basic lite version only lets you scan it. Not play around with any of the data inputs. Time to find some one local

Yea give it a good spray and then a little scrub if needs be. WD cleans and protects, to quote the can I believe!
