ok, the face for my alpine unit has been misplaced. I think I left it on the cam cover one day and forgot all about it and then drove the car
im sure I heared a bit of a clunk under the car around that time
anyway, as I am no longer a backwards cap wearing twit (I`ve never worn hats of any type, It`s just a gesture) I am not bothered about the "sound system" I don't play CD`s or mp3`s but I do like to listen to the radio, especially when the local news comes on.
I removed my gamma radio a long time ago to fit the alpine, some components and a nice 12" sub in a wheel arch box. its sounded crisp
now to get to the point, I had since swapped my clusters for ones from a Passat b5.5, coded them in with vag tacho etc.
since refitting the gamma it seems too have gone in safe mode. does it pair with the clocks or the CCM?
I plan to take it to VW in the morning, along with all the necessary documents bla bla.
So, is it the clock swap the reason it wont re-pair (as in read the code from the car)?.
