If you've got an idea of a style of wheel you like then people can help you make an informed decision.
My personal choice has been to find second hand sets of wheels via the various forums.
Another plus of that idea is when you get a bit bored of the look you can sell your wheels for around the same price you paid for them and buy another set...
I had seven different sets on my last mk6 and aside from the initial outlay they didn't cost me that much.
