16v overheating in traffic/ stationary, !update! Fans not working. update 2!

I don't know if it's for 8V or 16V, but it should be same for both.

On second thoughts it can't be the switch, becuase your giving direct live to the fan motor and if they ain't working then you have problems with the fan motor, which is prob burnt out.

Yh that makes sense.  fecking car!! Can't wait to get rid!

I do love it, but I hardly ever get to drive it like it's ment to be driven, and I can't keep pouring money into it that I'm nit going to make back when I do sell it.

Right. I've got a New fan motor. I theory before I go ripping the front of the car off il test it. So I plugged it in. Then I did the sensor bypass test again. And it still didn't work! Should I look at replacing the fan control switch? Help!

so you tried testing the fan like in the youtube video and it worked fine? I tested mine earlier and the paperclip heats up really fast,...(gotta be careful as I burned my fingers!)

If that is working as in the video then the fan motor is ok...

Then at least the fan is alright..!

Tried that test and it didn't work, with both fan motors I have, which leads me to think its the FCM

Right, drove it home, then had to stop in the village  to post something, after I parked and turned the engine off the fans came on!

They do run on if its hot after you switch off.

Do you have any idea how they came on? mine work when i bypass the switch, but ive tried 2 seperate switches and the fan still doesnt work at temp?
