There's a unit at the back of the engine that is for the brake booster. My friends one had snapped wires to the plug due to a vibration caused by a broken engine mount.

Nox sensor probably needs replacement. Looking around £300 odd. Common fault

If you have tools and ability.

The only time she goes to a garage is for mot. Done;

Cambelt
Water pump
Bushes
Suspension
Mounts

Everything.

On the drive with hand tools.

Worth a pop?

In that case. Yep.

Nox sensors are expensive though and are that common a fault. Vw keep them in stock, but you should be able to get them elsewhere now. Like lambdapower or similar a lot cheaper.
