Thanks for the info, but out of interest, what are those bulbs that the youngsters put in their cars which make them so bright?

HID conversions (High Intensity Discharge) and are illegal unless used in projector style headlights i think.

Strictly speaking they are still illegal to fit into projectors that haven't been designed for them, not to mention washers and auto leveling.

I retro fitted a HID kit to my Passat with projector headlights tho'. They were so much better than the halogen bulbs and had a sharp cut off, but they were nothing compared to the W8 bi-xenons that I have fitted since.
