Wheel nuts

Hi all just got some 17" alloys ill be replacing these with my 15" alloys will I need to change all the wheel nuts ? The fitments are the same 5x100
Standard gti 2.0 115bhp 2000 w reg

no, not unless you have spacers and are removing the spacers.

A real 304bhp 286lbft in a mk4 golf!

Thanks for the reply . No got no spacers it's literally a straight swop swopping for the ones on my sig pic the ones I just got are 7j wide and 35 offset 17" what ever that means

You only new bolts (longer) if you want to run spacers, unsure on offset check this site out...

standard offset is 38 iirc so running 35 is fine as its very close

You will need different bolts as they are aftermarket wheels.

You'll probably need tapered bolts for aftermarket wheels. I have a full set with locking bolts that I haven't a use for as I've just put the same wheels as your 'old' ones on my mk3 ......... ;)

The offset difference means the center of the new wheels will sit 3mm further out than the standard ones, and with the extra 1" width will sit closer to the arch :)
