Couple of choices to make firstly dude,

Do you want to keep the mk2 clocks, or fit the mk3?
Mk3 coil or mk2?
Do you want the abf gearbox or the 8v one?
(means either seat cable conversion or hydro pedal box conversion is required. Both pretty easy to do tho)
Do you want to go widetrack?

The conversion is largely plug and play, you can make it as hard or as easy as you like, trouble your going to have is how well the original conversion to 8v was done,

If your gonna get a whole car it's by far the easiest an most cost effective way to do it, there's so much on the Internet about this conversion it's very simple to do, the hardest thing is not getting confused with conflicting build threads and posts.

Good luck dude!!

Parts you'll need as a start till you answer the above questions

Engine bay loom
Ecu & correct ecu relay
Immobiliser box and transponder ring, with key chip
Engine of course,
Mk3 downpipe & manifold
Mk3 decat section
Mk3 tank with In tank lift pump
(have heard you can get away with the 8v item but why introduce aggro for yourself)
Mk3 fuel pump wiring

That's about all I can think of without the answers from them above

Thanks dogbot would like to keep mk2 clocks as for coil pack which ever ones more realiable , and what's the difference between wide track and short ( sorry for sounding like a spanner!) Gearbox I dnt really mind that agsain which ever gonna b more realiabe I would say the 8v conversion was done ok ish could have bin better but was good enough well the mk3 abf I can get is from a family friend and only wants 300 quid off me so just really wana no wht other parts I'd need nd the difficult parts of the conversion. Thanks pal

Worth doing some searches dude, to use mk2 clocks you'll wanna use the mk2 coil and widetrack is mk3 front subframe and wishbones as they are wider
