T-Shirt, when your on about tripod, what exactly do you mean? The CV joints on mine are the tripod style, as opposed to the cylindrical type ones? This mean I will have the bigger cups?

Tripod refers to the 3 arms that connect to the driveshaft inside CV joint. Iirc they are the o rs with the bolts on tabs around the edge of the cv joint.

If you have this type, you have to remove the by undoing the 6mm Allen key in the centre of the cup and replace with late 02A 100mm cups. Then the mk3 shafts will bolt up to the cups correctly.
