I'm with Volkswagen Insurance as they came out the cheapest surprisingly at £870 at 22 with 6 points but they don't allow any modifications whatsoever

Definately get your NCB protected, i made a claim on the GTI for nearly 3k and when renewal time came i shopped around, declared the claim and found a better price than the previous year.
Saved me a fortune.

Me: 34 years, 3 points, 2010 Mk6 GiT with BHP mod (11%-25%) disclosed, 7 years NCB - £469 for the year
Wife: 32 years, no points, 2011 Polo, 9 years NCB - £308 for year
Both as named drivers on each others car

Surprisingly, it has gone down £225 from last year.

Don't forget to update mileage and value of car, as this makes a diff
