Clocks Vacum pipe....

I was reading an article on problems with the vacum pipe coming out of the rear of the clocks or something.

The other day i was wiring my sterio and accidently pulled the vacum pipe from behind the clocks. Is this easy to put back?

What problems occur if this is not fixed?

I think the vacuum pipe is for the MPG reading on the MFA. my give you rough idle as your sucking a little air in.

Sorted the problem now the MFA makes more sence.
