scooby alloys on mk4 ?
« on: 06 July 2012, 23:55 »
is it possible to run scooby alloys on golf? they have 5x100 but think the center bores are different if so can you get spigot rings to fit them?

No as the centre bore is smaller than the bore on the mk 4. 56.7mm on the scooby and 57.7 on the mk4. you could get a machine shop to turn the centre bore out 1mm though

Also offset is wrong and they tend to have smaller bolt holes.

if the bolt holes are smaller then you wouldnt be able to get the wobble bolts through so would make no difference

Just get the bolt holes drilled out at the machine shop when they do the centre bore and the offsets are usually high so just space them out to suit.

you have to use wobble bolts

Wobble bolts are to allow a 2mm difference in pcd.
