Any way of adjusting brake pedal? 1.6
« on: 15 May 2012, 21:09 »
In my 1.6 I have to push the brake pedal quite far down before the car starts braking. The discs and pads are good and when it does start to brake the brakes are pritty good. Just wondering if I can adjust them so that I don't have to push the pedal down as far?

Cheers
Josh

Would suspect air in brake lines, faulty brake servo or even just a broken vacuum hose to brake servo

Are your brake shoes adjusted correctly ,they need to be just off binding ,if theres to bigger space between the shoes and the drum then your shoes will have to travel a bit before they make contact with the drum thus giving you excess pedal movement before your brakes work
