induction loop problems.
« on: 13 April 2012, 21:01 »
dunno where to start with this, doing an abf conversion at the moment mk3 16v into mk2. ive taken the subframe out with engine and box- the lot. problem ive got is i am trying to take the immobiliser and induction loop out of the mk3.

i need to know what this is for:

ive got a black wire going into it from the immob and i need to know if i can junk it or what i have to do to convert it to the mk2.

also i need to know if there is a a way i can bypass the carbon cannister thing on the front left of the engine bay as its going to be a pain in the arse to fit otherwise.

i also need to know which airbox i need to use the mk2 digi of the 16v one.

anything else i need to know about this conversion thats going to bite me in the ass?

i figured it was a straightforward conversion but now im having trouble with pedal boxes and trying to find a corrado one is pretty hard, unless you are willing to pay £150!

thanks for the advice in advance!

Doing mine ATM...

Pedal Box - Why not just stick with your standard 020 box and clutch set up?? The clutch/fly off your mk2 will fit.

MK2 Air Box is no good (no space for the breather IIRC) nor is the MK3, you'll need one of a ABF toldeo (or Ibiza?!?!)

The black wire needs to be connected to an ignition live in your mk2.
