Beading with epoxy resin?

Hi, Has anyone beaded an aluminium pipe with an epoxy resin?

Such as this - http://jbweld.net/products/jbweld.php

Thinking of doing it on an intercooler pipe as i dont have a beading tool, but will it hold the boost?

if JB weld holds  it holds. 

you can stick sparkplugs in if needs must with that stuff  but i wouldn't recomend it for that application.

there are several motorsport approved botches for holding boost hoses on  these include

PU  adhesives  such as tiger seal -   rough up the metal pipe  first  apply sealant  and push on and clamp hose   it'll never blow off again you'll never pull it of ether

Vulcaniseing rubber solution - pritty much as above  but with some effort you'll get it off but it sets faster.

various anerobic bonding agents -  as above  but actualy made for the job

easyest way i find is just to run a bead of weld around the pipe

Problem with ali, its harder to weld. If you went with stainless you could cut small ring if pipe and expand them, slip them over the pipe and tack on with a mig welder.

I tried running a bead around the pipe before and it wasn't as neat.

Problem is I'm trying to integrate the forge map sensor pipe with my existing intercooler pipe work. Both are aluminium so was thinking I'd have to use silicone joiners....

I might try the tiger seal on the map sensor pipe then as I won't ever need to take that off (fingers crossed)
