Parts list

If you don't work somewhere that you can liberate the bits from or you are rubbish with your hands,  then you might as well spend £40 on the kit X4MGS posted the link to

That matey matey wiring loom is only an uprated loom for the dip beam...
There are details about a 3 relay wiring loom that uprates the dip beam, main beam and spots/fog lamps.

Really all you would need to do is to wire up 3 relays using the diagram matey matey has supplied but wire up three relays so that the dip and main bean cut each out when you move the stalk and as for the spot/fog lights, in essence its the same loom as above but use the fog lamp signal from the stalk to switch the relay on.

Quite correct use an extra relay to switch loom to battery fed supply, use diagram as a guide just replicate as required
Can even be done to rear lights

Yup. I work for a motors factors and can buy bits at cost, however with all the relays/wiring/connectors etc I couldnt save much on the ebay price of £30 to £40 for a pre-assembled item.

I only chose to make mine because:

a. The experience
b. I could make the loom to the desired length

I don't think a semi will give the same results
