done 50+ miles now and still the same when i come to a junction and press the clutch pedal down car revs to about 1,300 to 1,500 and slowly drops down to 800 rpm doing my head in now as using more fuel  :angry: wish i never did it now

Give it a bit longer it will be fine I have done mine loads of times over the years!
hope so m8 just hate when i pull up at junctions or traffic lights and i press clutch down and change to first gear and cars reving between 1,300 and 1,500 before slowly dropping to normal 800 rpm

Get yourself vagcom and eliminate this. Its a must on post 2001 cars.

It's a mk4 so still counts.  Very reliant on OBD.

mine was about 100 miles before it settled
did a throttle reset with vagcom but that didnt do anything so had to keep driving till it sorted itself out
1.6 16v AZD
RS8s 225/35/19
Full powerflow decat exhaust
Blanked EGR
Pipercross panel filter
watch this space for the rest...

i did mine the other day to fix my running problems and it always ran fine afterwards its an aum 20vt  i guess i got lucky???
2000 indigo blue golf gti AUM, full oe r32 kit, xenon headlights, r32 wheels, r32 interior trims,steering wheel,pedals and foot rest, h&r springs, r32 milltek cat-back, stage 1 remap, forge diverter valve.
