Mounting an MP3 player in the car
« on: 01 October 2006, 18:19 »
Hi,

Has anybody fitted a Zen Micro or similar MP3 player to their car? I was wondering how you'd mounted the player to the car. I've got all the cables to connect to the head unit, so that's not a problem.

Thing is, I can't see any real way to mount the player to the dash - all I've come up with is a generic mobile phone holder and some zip ties to stop it sliding out when going over bumps. Zen Micro is rounded off at the bottom which doesn't help when trying to sit it in a holder

Wondered if anybody had any ideas? If not, I was thinking of putting some sponge in the glove box and letting it sit in there.

Cheers

An ipod fits quite nicely in a mk2's ashtray. Unless you smoke that is
