All it does is retards the fuel at rest to save fuel in idle mode



So if i run it as is i will not lose any performance or use extra fuel etc??.

I would sooner have it plugged in and working but if after the clean its still the same ill just run as is.

yeah yours should be fine its seems to be broke one way proberly open as if it was broken with retarding the fuel you would know about it i.e no power and hesitation. But your set up has proberly been modded to take any difference the fueling would have made to the response. So plugging it back in which would require a tune up again

It doesn't control fuel, when the throttle is shut it switches on the isv, which allows a metered amount of air in, for steady idle. The fuel follows the air, via the metering head. Mine makes little difference with isv unplugged also though, seems to idle fine without it..
