your not the first person to say that tbh. I think im going to use that guide and put the old box back in. I have about £1200 budget to get more the car im hoping this is plenty but theres so much i can do with it

think its the oil in those filters thats the prob personally i would go back to standard or a decent panel filter

Correct, over time the oil can clog the maf sensor, Pipercross is a dry / foam filter and does not cause problems.

OK cool so when my new ICM unit arrives will fit old box and put ICM unit on the side were it belongs and clean MAF to be sure. Hopefully this will fix problem

ok will do, this is the 4th or maybe 5th problem ive had with the car since buying (2 weeks ago lol)

I really wanna get the car remapped and exhaust fitted but i want to make sure its running well first.

Do you know much about ICM units?

yeah they seem to have many names ICM unit, Ignition AMPs and a few more ive seen, part no: Bosch 4D0 905 351, Hitachi do one the same just different fittings.

any ways mines fried cause the last guy who owned car fitted a K&N  then left the ignition AMP/ICM unit to just float around the side. I think its got too hot and burnt out the little wires inside. Its meant to be fitted to side of the air box to keep cool

Question was car still runs just really bd idle and a loss of power, if i drive the car still am i causing more damage or is ok? It seems to run fine no funny noises or any thing like that.

i would what until you get the icm.When mine went it sounded messed up ,like a retarded scooby  :laugh:
