You dont need to take the beam off and you can do it on your own but this shows whats involved  :smiley:

No point checking. The cars old enough to need them doing. Just change them. The symptoms you describe point to them being shot.  :wink:

sh!t job to do....sliverline do a tool to get them out and back in again for about £25.00.
If your going to change them get the tool.
I used the wheel off my trolley jack,a few sockets,and 12mm stud bar and nuts to do mine and lots of swearing :smiley:
