gpt no mayo on the filler cap so think head gasket is ok just hope its not the piston rings .

No mayo doesn't mean the gasket is ok though.

o right didnt know that.

easy or hard to do itself job?

think i found what the prop is but need to get under car got than oil leak but only when the car has been running it start to leak slowly its coming from between the engine and gearbox, its stops leaking when the car has not been running for abit.

so will it be seal or cracked block i know i need to look but just want ideas before i start looking.

Rear crankshaft oil seal.

Oil is thinner when hot, that'll be why it looks ok when cold.

easy or hard to do itself job?

Not major hard but lots of labour involved as gearbox needs to come out etc, well worth fitting a new clutch at the same time.
