Battery cable

Sorry if this has been asked before, have searched but can not find it.

Had to take battery off last night to charge it as it went flat, put it back on this morning, but no idea where this cable has come from.



Can only see this that it might attach to



If this cable does go here, what does it actually do??

looking at it i would say its for your alarm system and if correct it will go on the connector underneath next to the red one assuming the cable is black on the opposite side?

The cable on the first picture is pure black and goes straight to the neg terminal, I will need to check the colour on the otherside of the block connector on the 2nd pic. This may never have been connector only had the car about a month, and did not even know it had a alarm
There is n fob, should it bleep or something when you look the door. Sorry really new to golf's

ah rite if you dont have a fob then i'd leave it well alone and forget about it as it may mess with the immobiliser its definately an add on though see if you can trace the wires back to anything
