Mk4 (with full FIS & steering wheel controls) can upgrade to RCD200???

Morning all, I just wondered if anyone had upgraded from or knew if it is possible to upgrade a 2003 Golf that has the factory Gamma & CD player along with the full FIS and steering wheel controls to the RCD200 double din unit?

and will the FIS still display radio info? and the steering wheel controls still work?

RCD200 unit??    From the MK5??

No in short as it won't fit the dash plus the wiring is very different between the 2 cars.

Go aftermarket if you want all the features

I've seen them fitted in Mk4's on youtube, there were a couple of versions of it, from what I can tell I need the MP3 version with red buttom illumination and blue LCD 

From old topics I've read something about canbus on 2003> models I'll have to get the Gamma out and see which wiring I have, worse case scenario I could use a canbus emulator wotsit? my main concern is if the RCD200 supports steering wheel controls and displays info on the FIS? cheers.

I've weighed up going aftermarket and I want to keep with VW stuff to be honest.
