16V MK2 BOTTOM END SWAP???

Hi im wanting to put a 2l bottom end on my mk2 16v kr engine and use the 16v kr head.
i need to know what gear box i can use as im after a cable change box???
1.is it a mk3 16v box flywheel n clutch with the mk3 gear selector onto the 2l bottom end and 16v head???
dose the bottom end have to be a 16v one or will the 8v one be ok (are they the same bottom ends with different heads)

Yes that is correct

Nope it needs to be a 16v bottom end, I would fit a complete ABF lump given the choice.
