All it was in the end was a dust shield catching in the inner disc.
How did you fix it?
My N/S dust shield is loose, it's got a shiny groove from where it's been making contact with the disc!
Well it was a sargaa and half as you can imagine the heat expanded the plate when braking.
We overhalled the brakes and I stupidly tightened the bolts too tight, causing it to curve inwards too much as there was not much thickness to the metal dust shields.
The solution was either to buy new ones or just bend them back so far
(rubber mallet helps) they were more flush with hub than disc.
