bushes have gone and i need to change themm do i need to drop the beam off or not ?

if i was to drop the axle off what bolts do i need to undo and do i need to undo the drum lines and handbrake cable

im sure you could just undo the axle mount bolts and drop it down and leave the cables attached but it will be more fiddly doing it under the car rather than removing all togther

It is a lot easier to remove the beam, gives you more room to work.
