Stick a little piece of blue tack over it!

Checked the thermostat?
Mine wasn't opening fully and when it was replaced my coolant light stopped coming on.

bridge the pins on the level sensor plug. if it still does it, the wiring to the level sensor or the dash itself is at fault. was the black sensor gen vag?

hi there,

i had this problem with my oil light and buzzer.

i replaced the oil sender sensor, then got a mechanic mate to check it, he said my brand new sensor was faulty, be wary of new parts, it doesnt guarantee they are working properly!!!

just a heads up!

think you may well be right carnt think off anything else it could be so me thinks i will try and swap the sender for another and see what happens.
