toad Ai606 boot pop

i have wired up my alarm to try and work a boot popper. I have used this diagram

then i trigger the boot pop the car locks. any idea what i can do to stop it from locking the car??

i am not using a switch at present, trying to pop it off the alarm

Could do with a bit more info here...

What car?   and what Alarm system etc..?

yeah might help :laugh:

on my mk2 golf

alarm is a toad Ai606

the car shouldnt lock when i trigger it. but when i do the car locks and to unlock it i have to arm it and then disarm it  :shocked:

Ok, did you wire the whole alarm in your self or are you just adding the boot popper?

did the whole alarm myself. there is a wire that when i hold down a button for 3 secs it turns positive. thats the wire i have been trying to connect my pop and relay to.

hhiya jamrock, i think the button your pressing is the total closure, is it the bottom right button? as that is the total closure (closes everything, the doors windows & sunroof if they elec. two things you could try, reprogram the alarm or try the bottom left button & keep it pressed see what happens with that. i have same alarm but no boot pop
