I've read that dealers have started using quantum long life oil. Apparently it is made by castrol, is Vw approved and is around £35 for 5 litres

Who is selling Quantum for 35 quid? Cost more than that in the dealers??

I use Castrol Edge and I'm told that it's what VW use for their long life service. Also get it from the dealers at about £14 a litre. As I only use one a year at most, I'm not that bothered about cost.
