I think people are right when they say I needed a sub.
Got a new headunit in my mk2 the alpine ida-x305 [for iphone], fitted some good front speakers made by focal £120~, but as I wanted to get some speakers that would fit in the stock holders in the back of the car my options were limited, think they are a weird size like 6x4.
I could only find about 6 speakers that were made in that size so I went for the most expensive set which was made by alpine and only £30. My god they suck so much, I have to keep the bass on 0 even though the focals can handle it at 7 just because the backs start really giving up. I have even shifted the sound to 70% to the front as even on bass level 0 the backs still mess up.
Think my best option now would be to get a sub and an amp then keeping my setup as it is but the Bass would be handled by the sub only.
I dont really like the idea of cutting the parcel shelf for 6x9s, Is the above the best aproach to solve this problem?
