Car is in garage... price query? expensive or reasonable or average???

one thing though - is that the labour charge or does it include all parts??

If its everything i'd question the legality of where he gets his parts from 

235 does not include the cost of the spring (which is aprox £30), the guy is not a (paki), nad u joker...

ive been walking past his garage for the last 24 years, its very local to me, so if i have any problems with parts, il speak to him, but in all honesty from what i know, he buys from a firm locally in oldham and dukinfield called bms parts or summat, but i will double check.

Seems good to me, Im sure some people on here paid £200 just for the rear bushes!

its the same garage who charged me £135 for parts and labour to replace my master cylinder piston on clutch, the difference is immense, truly awesome, i was moaning about gears not going in properly and having to wait abt 10mins in the morning b4 it cud go into gear, the solution to my woes was a new master cylinder piston...

I finally got my car back,

total cost was £265, also I found out that my bro got it wrong, the front bushes were not replaced in that price, so it was just the

bearings,
front shock mounts,
rear axil bushes
1 spring which was cracked
thermostat
headlights adjusted

the parts are purchased from companies such as:

euro car parts
bms parts

etc

so im happy with that choice, still feel it was a little pricey, but now its done with, i can feel the immediate difference, car has picked up so much power... I'm proper impressed


the bad news:

my rear pads and discs are going to need replacing very soon (within 2 weeks), how much should this job cost ??

do i buy the pads with the sensor or not??

Wheel bearings are a hub off job for both sides and the rear beam bushes are a pig of a job

Bearing kits are around £40 per side, rear bushes are £15 a side, spring is £30, top mounts about £10 per side, thermostat £30, so you got well over £150 worth of parts!!

You got a ruddy bargain!!

i dont know why i feel it is pricey, maybe its bcos iv not had to visit the garage for soooo long and now i did, i forgot how much you actually spend on maintaining ur vehicle...

thats good news, the reason i asked is because my brake pad sensor light is on, so i take it this referring to the front disc and pads...

if i was to upgrade the rear brake discs and pads for something which doesnt cost too much more, is it worthwhille investment or do you think its not worth the difference..

Never heard of that saying before 

That is cheap mate think I paid about £80 to have to front wheel bearings fitted
