Codeing RNS510 With VAGCOM

Anyone Familiar With VagCom and Know How To Code Correctly The RNS510 So All Functions Work Correctly

ie :- MFSW & MFD

We Have Got Vagcom But do not Know How To Use it  :sad: Do not want to mess things up completly without Knowing the correct Procedure.

I'm Sure theres some VAG COM Wiz Kids Out there to help  :smiley:

You need to enable BAP byte 7 bit 7 on channel 37 Navigation IIRC

To be honest with the latest software and genuine hex+can cable (all the ones i see on ebay are k-line only so don't work on mk5-onwards) everything is pretty much point and click. Select your module and choose coding - hover the mouse over the the changeable fields and a popup display explains what changes can be done in that group, or hit the 'long coding helper' button where applicable.

For people new to vagcom i usually suggest changing the adaptions in the convenience control module - things like alarm chirp on lock/unlock, anti hijack locking etc. Practice on things that are simple like that but more advanced than using the MFA, just to build some confidence. Won't be long then before you're data logging engine data on your drive home from work :grin:

Convience control module.. :huh:.is that available for everyone in the car itself or is that part of Vagcom...
I for instance would love to have the lock/unlock chirp... :cool:

Sorry to be off topic but is coding the cruise control on the mk6 quite easy if i decide to diy fit the arm(i have not got the car to do it yet), i have done the basic stuff you talk about on the mk5 before but little else.
