couldnt you have got one with a fold out screeen!!
It would have been much easier just putting in a single din with fold out screen, but sometimes I get an urge to take on a project and I couldn't find much on the internet with people having done this before so thought I'd give it a try
I think it looks great. Nice job, although the half a vent looks a bit dodgy. 
Couldn't you cover the back of the stereo/wires in heat resistant material & then keep the heater on?
The half vent was a bit of an after-thought - originally I wanted to make some sort of compartment which would be about the right size to put a mobile phone in or something like that - to do that I think I'd need to get a sheet of plastic and warm it up so I can fold it and bend it to shape - that'll be for a day when I get bored I think
