if it wasnt really dirty then could just be where uve disconected + the wiring + put it back on

Dont think so as I have played around a fair bit until eventually taking the TB off.  Cleaned all breather pipes, replaced breather valve, pluged and unpluged leads etc.  Cleaning the not so dirty TB deffo worked for me.

fair enough, im just bitter cos my cutting out wasnt as simple a fix as cleaning the TB  :grin:

yup shall be doing this myself tomoz when i finish work, along with replacing my starter motor  :sad:

all done tonight after work  :smiley: and all i can say is so far so good  :smiley:
drove 15 miles home and every time i slowed down and depressed the clutch it was fine, dropped to approx 900 revs
