Hi, Have a mk4 and when listening to certain rnb tracks my doors rattle? it aint loud or anything and have nothing in the doors. Is there any cushioning I can use? I have even taken out my amp and sub which has helped a little, altered on my pioneer 900bt stereo etc and still doign it

The first thing to do would be to find the rattle. You need to know exactly what is rattling. Then it should be easy to stop it.... once they start though you will almost definately be fighting a loosing battle.

found it, it was a coin in the hold! Ok well that solves that minor issue the next is how do I cushion everything ie carpets absorb sound and vibrations etc...

I have removed my whole door panel several times due to this.


how to cushion everywhere else depends where it is. inside doors and bootlids can be tricky because they get wet, most things that cushion absorb water so its less than ideal most of the time.

sound deadening would be an option, pretty expensive though and not really guaranteed to stop rattling.
