« on: 08 November 2009, 13:59 »
Time for a new satnav.

Had TTN on my PDA, so TomTom is the recommended option.

Trouble is I don't know which one!!!

Go 530?

TomTom one XL?

OR a used (refurbished) 720 and update the software.....

Help!!!!

ps looking to spend around £130.....

Having never had one before I spent a lot of time looking into sat navs...I was even sad enough to buy magazines regarding it!  I ended up going for a Garmin 265WT - it pronounces road names (rather than saying take the next left), wide screen, has blue tooth for your phone (which works well), european cover, lifetime subscription free traffic alerts.  Got to say, I find it exceptionally easy to navigate through.  I can see why its the critics choice for sub £150.

I've just bought a Tom Tom XL Live - this is my first TT.  I'm well impressed with it, the satellite lock is the best I've come across.

Well, after MUCH nerdiness, i devised a SatNav comparison chart. Not totally definitive, but it does outline the main differences.
Hope it's of use to some people
