yeah the fatter font looks closer to the actual Golf GTI font. 

seems to be slightly smoother as well, cleaner cut and fits a tiny bit better.



I hadn't noticed, but you're right, they do look different. To be fair, my photo is a bit blurred and doesn't make the insert look very tidy, but in reality it's ok.

The first picture looks like the ones a forum member here spent a while developing and then manufacturing (goes by the name gulfstream on here - rich351golf on ebay).  He spent quite a while fettling them and looking for feedback from forum users when he developed them to get the look and fit spot on.  Beware of cheap copies.

You're right actually, the originals do look nicer (slightly tapered towards the rear). I must have bought a cheap copy :( I know this is going to bug me, so I just ordred a 'proper' pair from eBay UK.

Is the lever these go on to the one for pushing the seat forward in 3 door cars?
