the MK2 16v and MK3 GTI 8v box has a larger input shaft, so if you get a std 8v box you need to change the friction disc.

02a isnt a direct drop in replacement, you also need the gearstick & cables, plus either hydro clutch pedal box or SEAT ABF hydro->cable conversion setup

I have an 8V GTI Box for sale?

Dont forget the TDI, 16v and VR6 are cable change and hydraluc clutch so some conversion needs doing there.

I can see a diesel box being a bit crap to drive with on a petrol though... I mean the ratios are miles out!  I dont have to take my TDI above 2000 RPM and will get good power and speed,  i think for an 8v its a bit long, would loose that pull.

Hi mate

How much do you want for the GTI 8v gear box, mine is very noisey in reverse, so think I need a new one. Cheers. Steve.
