try a wire from the U plug direct to the rev counter side of coil. oh and double check U1/6 runs to dash plug pin 10.

as in, run a fresh wire straight to pin 10 on the clocks, from the coil ;)
but double check U1/6 from fusebox runs to pin 10 on the dash clocks before you start splicing :)
