i just managed to make my vag com get into the the recode section 

which re-code section?

iirc thats for one touch un-locking  i enabled that one i think with the shareware version this is the only one you can re-code and when you scan it it will tell you module is incorrectly coded i just ignore that

just one question though, what is the 5 digit code he mentions?..
should it be the exact same number as he mentioned or just add one to the one you have?.

right, that was a good guide, i know ross-tech have a tutorial but i think its a bit too in depth..
why dont we have a sticky here where we can just add the easy and cool stuff we can do?
i just did my one touch unlocking from this guide which i think is much, much better. as soon as get a full/registered version of vag com i will be doing quite a bit.. it shall be fun
