could someone with a late mk3 2.0 16v ABF please help me 
 
would you please look at your Diagnostic plug and tell me how many wires ,colour and the position of the wires in the plug

Dont quite know where you mean? If you give me a good description i'll have a look mate

There is only 4 wires into the 16 pin connector, 

From 16 pin socket to ECU??? i think
T16/16 Red/black  - Fused 15A  - to ECU???

From 16 pin socket to Earth connector
T16/4  Brown         Leads to Earth connection 1, in dash panel wiring harness

From 16 pin socket to Self-diagnosis wiring junction, above the relay plate

T16/15 Yellow        Leads to 2-pin connector, above the relay plate
T16/7  Grey/White  Leads to 2-pin connector, above the relay plate

I got it working now, have run vag-com and have loads of faults 2 fix now
