hi im installing a new sub in my mk3 and wondered if anybody knows the best way to run the power from the battery, because i cant see a very easy route through the firewall?

I found one in mine, in the bulkhead just beneath the water tank for the engine....job done!! If not you can drill one, providing the other side is clear wiring / fittings etc. If you do that don`t forget to cover the metal with a grommet, otherwise sooner or later there will be a short and your beloved chariot will be toast...not good

do not drill gromits are there for a reason and so is the firewall

I beg to differ on this one I`m affraid - I do this for a living and providing it`s done properly there is absolutely no reason why not to do this
