Clutch master and slave cylinders
« on: 09 April 2009, 17:31 »
I went to GSF today and asked about the above for my G60 and they do not recognise the set up. I came away with MKIII 16v items in the hope that they will fit. Now I have not matched these up with what is on the car yet, so can anyone tell me if I have the correct items? And if I don't, what the correct items are? Its for a 1991 Golf G60 with a cable change gearbox and hydraulic clutch! (Obviously)

I hope the master does too as it cost me half of my left arm. And that was for a copy!

Golf3 LHD: 1H1721401

Golf2 LHD: 357721401

Should have gone for the second one, which is fitted to the 88-93 Passat and is the same one as yours.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Cool. I'll check out the part numbers when I get back. Thanks for that. Is the same also fitted to the Corrado G60 as I believe that is the one I have?

God knows what master cylinder I have here. The GSF No. is 71676. The P/No. is 1H2-721-401. And the P/No. on the box is a Bosch P/No. which is 0 986 486 045 (-001? :undecided:)

I'll have to confer with GSF armed with the P/No.s that were given here and see if they can cross refer them.
