Rear wheel bearings
« on: 08 March 2009, 14:21 »
Hi

Does anyone know if the rear wheel bearing are on there way out, will this cause the rear of the car to wobble at speed? Project Ghetto is doing exactly that.  Not to confident taking it for a good thrashing just yet!

Cheers

Yes maybe or rear axle bushes.

Also worth checking for a buckled or out of balance wheel.

Could also be a loose stub axle nut

Ok, so I checked the rear nuts and found that they were loose. From what I understand they are only to hand tight? Is this correct?

That's right, the washer underneath should just be able to move freely.
