I got de-cat and full exhaust on mine, throught the engine light on after 300 miles but runs perfect.  Gone through both mot's using a tuning company.  Only really need to turn the light off if your selling to someone fussy.  No probs!!!

is yours AUM as well then do the lamda sensors plug in the side of the down pipe?

Isn't it easier to get it fixed...

One is PRE cat so will be before the cat the other is POST cat, so after the cat. If you follow the link i provided above you will get an exact answer about how to fix it for good.

It's all very well driving around with the EM light on, but if you pick uo another fault, you won't know as you will assume the light is for the exhaust. Also the ECU may adjust setting to make the car run smoothly but reducing power/efficency.

If your going to go to the bother of getting it fitted, you just as well do the job properly IMO  :laugh:

yea got you now well ill have a look then and see what i can find out, not havin much luck getting logged in to that other forum at the mo. stupid temporary password!

yeah im AUM, suppose your right, should get the second sensor disabled, ill pop down to him and he will do it for nothing for me, just a case of plugging in.  See if there are some other faults too just incase lol.

ill fit it then as i have nothing better to do tomoz and get nick to see what he can do when i go for a re-map. cheers guys. 

also another problem that might hold me back the down pipe is 2.5 inch and was gona try to fit it with the standard cat-back system anyone know if this is 2.5 inch as well ?

I would just buy a sport cat saves fooking around every year for the MOT   :smiley:
Golf SOLD. Replaced with a Yamaha Raptor 660 quad and loving it. This will be replaced in August with a Raptor 700. Sold the quad now got a Vectra GSI 2.5 V6 and its the nuts.
