Replacing their Forge one with G spec VW valves? Whats the point, Forge one is just as good if not better.

Silly people wasting money imo.

No replacing it with 06H 145 710 D which is a piston one.  The forge seems to have loads of negative feedback, hence people are looking for a better alternative

Absolutely nothing in that thread except a bunch of dumb americans wanting the new one simply because it is new.

The thing is still made out of plastic for christ sake. Oooohhhh it holds more boost pressure, really dipsh!t, seeing as the car is programmed to hold a set peak boost how does it do that. My car holds peak boost with the Forge DV, it didn't with the OEM one, and I have no doubt after a few miles this one will suffer the same fate as all the other revisions. Its manufactured down to a price, do the math.

I'm on the search...

Also some issues with it sticking in cold conditions, the fact it needs maintainance.  On a US forum i read an article where someone asked why there were so many seconds hand ones were for sale and then there was loads of feedback for why they have been removed and sold on.  It was all rather bad reading in ref to the forge unit.  I'm just feeding back what I've read, I'm not suggesting its fact just trying to understand what is best for my car

I'll forgive the Americans anything.  Just for putting the GPS spaceships into orbit.
Even walking the dog I plan out a route on Memory-Map, load it into my Garmin Forerunner 205 wrist watch and let the GPS guide me.

Fantastic.
Currently digging a bunker.

I wouldn't be too believing of all that crew says in his posting as he is well known to be anti-forge and a devil's advocate.

The forge valve you refer to sticking in cold conditions is with the BSH DV relocation kit and that uses a much larger and different forge valve and seems to occur with folk who have meths injection in extremely cold temps that we don't see across here in the UK.
